AOE City Tips

Basic Tips:
1) 1 villager build 1 house and click 5 villagers in the towncenter, 2 villager build a wall at entrance then biild 1 towncenter near the gold mine and the forest
2) build 2 dock and 1 stable and 5 towers on your land to protect villagers,  build 4 ships attack enemy's coast to avoid enemy's transport rush and transport rush your enemy, if the sea is safe build 6-8 boats for fishing
3) you should be cleared that which tech should be upgraded first and which kind of unit should be buiilt, but temple must be built and priest can convert enemy

Roman Tips:
Roman towers are -50% cost, you can build many towers in the beginning and the building time of towers are lesser than Babylonian, so Roman is good at tower rush.  First of all you can try to move 2-3 villagers to rush at enemy land because you must build a tower faster than enemy before he start to attack you by towers or villagers.  Be sure that tower rush is only used to control enemy's resources not easy to win a game, so i hate tower rush it will slow down your gathering time may lack of resources easily.
Although swordman's attack speed is 33% faster but the swordman sucks in attacking.    One of two cats can kill them all easily.  So i prefer Phalanx rather than swordman, Phanlanx has heavy armour to protect from cats but moving slow and can kill elephants easily after full upgraded in storage pit.  However, -15% building cost can help Roman build army faster than other civ.  So i prefer build cats and ballista and with cheap swordmans in the beginning and swordmans only occupy 1/2 of population.   Fast swordman attack and cats and ballista backup is a must.

Persian Tips:
Persian is the most hardest civ to be used.  But elephants are the fastest in speed can evade attacks from cats easily.  Though +30% hunting, -30% farm production without farm upgrade in market and will lack of food to build elephants easily.  This civ is out of range, towers, archers and ships are sux at range but the fire rate of trireme is +50% so sea wars should have advantage.  However Persian has both cats and elephants and good priests who can covert building but Cathage cant.  The most difficult thing is that tones of cats cant survive with tones of war elephants because cats will kill all the war elephants.  So I prefer build more cats and elephants archer which have +1 armour protect from attack.  Persian is a very slow civ, I prefer rule the sea and then start attack with tones of war elephants or arhcer with cats. 

Carthaginian Tips:
Carthaginian is the most average civ than the other three civs.  So most of people are willing to choose this civ.  Carthaginian's trireme are +25% fire rate with the 10 unit range towers, it can protect the coast easily with fire galley.  All acdemy units and elephants units have +25% hit points, so they have a longer life time to attack and defense.  Though acdemy +25% hit points, dont have full upgrade of infantry and cant kill a elephant or a cats easily.  But elephants have a longer live and longer time to attack so that the damages to enemies is much greater.   This civ got ballista and stone thrower only and dont have cats, so the attack range will become closer.  So i prefer war elephants with ballista and sotne thrower to attack.   And that elephants are supported by full resources after upgraded in market.   Be sure that transport speed is 30% faster it can evade from enemy's fire galley and trireme.  Transport rush is best with war elephants and ballista and one or two stone thrower because they can destroy enemies as fast as they could and slow down enemies chance of survive.  Reminded that towers and priests are very important to this civ because priests can convert and towers have a good range.
